I've had a 95 900s 4-dr for about 3.5 years now, and have been chasing water leaks on this. My symptoms are water saturating the rear area at almost the very back - and it does it on both sides.
When you track this down, the first question you have to ask is this - does the water get in while I'm driving, or while I'm parked?
If parked, then the suggestions for the rear tailight seals is a good one (I actually sealed around the outside of the lights near the hatch side and it took care of that problem). The other suggestion is the sunroof drains and the plugs they fit into. They're at the very rear of the car, and have been known to pop out or get plugged. You have to pull away the inner felt liner to see these - but it's obvious once you pull it away.
If it happens when driving, there are two answers. The remote one is the drain plugs in the spare tire well area - there are 4 of them there and can get popped up easily from underneath, so check them. But the most prominent one is the shock rubber bushings. My problem got worse when I replaced the rear shocks and disturbed the bushings. I took the bushings out and sealed the bushing/tower area and it worked like a champ.
Bottom line - my leaks are gone, and all of the above areas needed attention. But I can tell you that shock tower leaks will drain to the rear of the car just like the other leaks. I could tell this was the issue due to the silt and staining around both bushings and watched the path of the silt heading to the rear.
HOPEFULLY I've got all of them now. :-)
