Too short of a drive..... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] In Reply to: I Just Drove a Viggen Convertible...., David L, Tue, 29 Nov 2005 00:48:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A Viggen that's been sitting around on a used car lot needs to be exercised. I've heard it takes the computer about a tankful to really crank things up for aggresive drivers. If you have a 97 900 Vert already a Viggen is indeed the same car sorta', but you'll need to spend some more time to really dip into the power and then you won't notice any turbo lag. Or maybe there is something wrong with the one you drove.
Much more motor than a 330, more horsepower and torque, much roomier car, much more entertaining, lots more "character". I'm not taking anything away from any 3 series, just the Saab is more for less and besides, everybody has a BMW.....
Viggens sold for substantially less, big rebates and discounts, than 330s and the gap has stayed pretty much the same, so what's more serious about Saab deprectiation than BMW depreciation? That one I don't quite understand.
