unlike a 5-door hatch, for a 3-door coupe, the gas filler does not get into the hatch. The filler pipe is outside so water cannot get into the hatch. There is no trim cut-out for the fuel filler in the trim for a 3-door coupe. have you checked if your sunroof leaks? if so while the sunroof drains are clogged then that is another avenue for water to invade the hatch area.
if you want to investgate if the rear fixed window is leaking, then you may undo the trims so that you can see if it leaks using the water hose procedure. the rear fixed window leak is possible since you noticed that water gets into the hatch when parked.
