The O2 sensor is part of an adaption loop. When the correction factor goes more than 25% rich or lean from baseline, you get code 72.
The engine may have not coped well with the traffic problem. I would see if things seem normal afte a longish drive at speed to burn off the plugs, cat and O2 sensors. And if things are good after that, then things may be fine.
The plugs may be fouled and/or out of gap. You can pull them, read the deposits, regap or replace.
The injectors may be fouled which could contribute to the problem. Techron Concentrate would fix that. This will also remove combustion chamber deposits which will create problems with your 10.5 CR engine.
Cables, boots, cap and coil face may be dirty which can cause ignition problems. Misfiring can be read as a rich mixture which might trigger an adaption CEL.
