Think about this, too, since Saab was part of the GM employee "You Pay What We Pay" program this past summer, there are a ton of 9-3s that either came off lease or got traded in earlier than planned because of the rock-bottom prices for new Saabs at the dealer. That's pushing down the price of everything else older as well.
It's not just Saabs, either. I watched the book value of another, non-Saab car I bought early in the summer plummet by more than $1,500 in less than four months. Yikes.
On the up-side, there are some great deals in cars out there right now if you're looking to get into something for the long haul. But the days of buying low and spinning high - or for at least the same purchase price - are over for now, methinks.
