That happened to me once. I have a 1997 900s which I left at the airport garage last year while on vacation for two weeks. I disconnected the battery during my trip. When I returned, I reconnected the battery and everything worked except the stereo! No code-in display, nothing (sid blank). It was as if there was no power to the stereo. Once I got home, I re-started the car, and the code-in message came up. It's been fine ever since. Weird.
