Just curious which Sirius unit you have... Sound like it just the tuner box to an aftermarket stereo right?
The reason I ask, the new S50 is powered by a 5V power source and the cigarette adapter has a voltage converter in it to convert 12V to 5V, they say in the manual not you use 12V or it will damage the unit. I guess you could get around this by wiring in a female cig plug somewhere.
If its just a regular tuner to an aftermarket deck. I would go for the power going to the Saab amp in the passenger kick panel. You could probably get away with wire taps, which just crimp around the stock wires while a concealed pin penetrates the jacket and completes the circuit.
In my case, my deck (Kenwood) sends the turn on switch signal through the supplied auxiliary cable. Are you sure you need switched power too?
What is your current setup so we can really give more than just general advice.
