Clutch life span Posted by frank [Email] (#2509) [Profile/Gallery] (more from frank) on Wed, 4 Jan 2006 10:10:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Searching the forum I have found extreme variation on clutch life, from 60k-260k. I was just wondering what the average is assuming normal driving habits. My 900s has 105k and I think the clutch is original. It feels really strong once in gear but getting into 1st requires 2k rev and some slipping to make it smooth otherwise it shudders and shakes. 2nd is similiar. It seems to be normal on these cars but it's making me think its time for a new clutch (hope not). I checked the linkage and it is aligned, clutch cable is next and hope to lube the throwout. Any other suggestions?
