... for what it is worth. Two problems with it. First, the headrests fold down with the seatbacks, requiring the seats be moved far forward to clear. Second, the opening is modestly sized, say maybe 8" by 18" wide. But the opening is there. The last time I used mine was in running wire for XM radio from trunk area into the passenger area. Took less than ten minutes.
But that said, I use my convertible year round in Chicago. It is a great all season car. Heated seats, headlight wipers, FWD, a real sized trunk, all make it an excellent winter car. Top is well insulated as well. With the power top and hard cover for the folded roof, it is a great summer car as well. The turbo makes it a sporty drive, but the fuel economy and seating position makes it a practical drive. You can find any number of cars that will do something better than the Saab convertible, but you will be hard pressed to find one that does everything better than the Saab. It is a great blend of practical and sporty, summer and winter, fast and fuel efficent, etc. etc.
From time to time, I test drive smaller two seaters. But the lack of a trunk, less comfortable seating position, etc. keep me in my 6 year old Saab. Quite frankly, if I were to sell it, I would probably buy another.
