Check the drain hose below the cowling. It's the rubber elephant-trunk thing that drains rainwater onto the middle of the steering rack. It's supposed to fit into the cowling tight enough so it doesn't let engine-compartment smells get into the ventilation system. There's another smaller drain hose down below, you need to be underneath the car to get a good look at that one.
