ACC fan is growling from behind the plastic panel

GRRRRRRR...sound, from the panel below the ACC, next to the heated seat buttons. I popped the panel off and cleaned out some dust and lint, but still growling. I remember posts on this way back and it is a common issue with the ACC temp sensor fan, but I cant recall what the cure was, remove and squirt some lube on the fan shaft?
