You're probably aware of this too, but when you wrote "ball joint puller" I thought I better chime in. There has been extensive discussion in past suspension posts (and a few CV posts) about how to deal with the ball joint because of minimal clearance in that area. The generic fork style ball joint puller tears up the boot badly. Probably OK if doing the CV boot but obviously not if intending to replace other suspension parts instead. The wedge or jaw style pullers (see link below) are less common but I believe even those don't work unless you have the official Saab (SPX/Kent-Moore) puller; there is still not enough clearance. "Dip" discusses this a little bit on his excellent site with the pictorial guide

I'm not an expert yet, having never worked on suspension parts on the NG900, but I'm getting dirty soon.
