I cleaned the IAC and the throttle body repeatedly, changed plugs, DI, checked all vacuum hoses, techron concentrate 20oz, checked the o2 sensors and cleaned them. I thought that maybe because the clutch was failing that somehow this may have been causing the engine to idle/run poorly and this in turn caused a CEL or even the surging idle. Just a guess in my not so technical mind.
