That is bizarre (but nice) that a dealer would tell you, and allow you, to order parts elsewhere. The kit retails for $393 currently; they would certainly make some profit off that. I think what the dealer is saying is that they'll supply the BELT and labor but none of the pulleys or the tensioner. Check out the kit at a site sponsor as Anders suggested. It includes the belt, 3 pulleys, and tensioner.

As a side note, sponsors are selling the kit manufactured by SKF for about half the SAAB list. I believe SKF supplies the SAAB part. Does anyone have experiences, good or bad, with throwing in the SKF instead of buying a genuine SAAB branded box? (I would love to save a bundle when I replace the belt in another 20k.)
