You're funny. I try to coach you into so that you don't throw parts at the car to fix the problem (shoot from the hip syndrome) and that's exactly what you do.
The tachometer stopped bouncing with the end of Hall effect sensors in the cars (93 9000, 94 C900).
With the CKP sensor, the tach will not start moving until the engine starts.
Did you ground all four spark plugs properly when testing? It's not good for the electronics if you crank over the engine with spark plugs not grounded.
If you instead had started at the fuel pump, listening for the buzz and if no buzz, check with a test light for voltage at the green/black wire and if voltage there while cranking, it's probably is the fuel pump.
If you have no voltage at the fuel pump wire, than it gets more tricky.
The P0300 code have nothing to do with the crank shaft sensor but is just an indication that misfire has occured in several random cylinders.
