Having read rave reviews, I bought myself Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S.
Cannot comment on them during summer,spring and autumn -- they seem fine.
Quiet and sturdy. However, I bought them thinking I could use them year round -- oh! what I wrong. I had terrible slippages with them on the snow.
I went so bad that I could not even get going from a red-light on an even pavement -- when all the cars around me had no trouble. After that one evening that everybody honked at me at every intersection from my work to home, I've changed to the proper Winter tires -- and all my problems were gone. Before Pirelli's I've used winter tires. So now I know how it is to drive with regular tires in the winter.

The moral? I think you should not count on PZero Nero M+S on helping you much in the winter. Why not just buy excellent summer-only tires for the same money, then? That's what I will do next time.
