So I've done it. After 3 weeks of looking, researching and brooding (over not finding EXACTLY what I wanted), I'm the proud new owner of my first Saab. Its a 1995 900SE V6. Now I know, people warned me about the V6, but after reading up on this site, seeing the passionate following the NG900s have and learning more than I ever thought possible about an entire generation of cars, I felt very confident that any shortcomings the engine design may have, its up to the owner to make sure its well kept. Its silver w/ black leather, 75k, one previous owner. The saab dealer was able to look up and tell me that it had the timing belt changed at 60k, plus the big tune-up, so that also helped assuage any major misgivings. Its got some ticks: i need a new driver's side view mirror cover, pass side sun visor and a loud temp sensor fan, but I am looking forward to putting some love and attention into her.

It also had a leaking valve cover gasket (as these seem to), but the dealer I got it from replaced that. It also pulls to the right very slightly while accelerating, and I've noticed the tread on the inside of that tire is more worn than any of the other tires, which leads me to believe there might be an alignment issue, though at speed she drives true with no drift.

In any case, you'll surely be hearing from me soon, as I'll have a hundred questions. I've found the archive of NG900 stuff so helpful already...in fact there has yet to be an issue that hasn't already been talked about here at least twice. So thanks!
