Well I know this has been addressed a decent amount, but mostly about tire size 225 vs. 215, and 16" vs. 17"
2000 2-door Blue Viggen
My issue is this:
Taken off at the end of last summer, my OEM rims were all fine but one, so I have 3 good 5 spokes and one that is minimally dented. Tires are completely worn and need replace. Finish on wheels is starting to flake (and not even from curb rash :( )
My options (assumed in all options is new rubber):
A) Reuse all 4 rims I have now, putting the bent one in the back. It was in the front when bent, and could only feel the vibration in the steering wheel, not the car/seats. So I imagine putting it in the back should be not noticable. I will most likely get 225/45/17 tires as per other threads here.
B) Buy one new/used Viggen rim off e-bay or find something online or in classifieds. Still have 3 other wheels that are flaking though. Same rubber setup as (A)
C) Buy 4 new Aftermarket rims, which hopefully will be less prone to getting bent. The goal here is to just get 4 rims that won't bend. The flaw with options A and B is that the chances of bending more rims exist. Obviously I can bend aftermarket rims, but most should be a little more solid than the 5 spoke OEM's? If I got this route, are there any recomendations for aftermarket suppliers? Ronalt? and what is the offset I need, along with should I get 17" X 7"-7.5"-8"?
Any comments or thoughts welcome.
