While having my IDN/DIC recall performed this morning I mentioned that I have noticed a small oil leak and asked them to look into the source. The culprit was the oil pressure sensor which I was told could be replaced for $210, parts & labor, in about 2 hours. Since I was already waiting and had plenty of work to keep me busy I authorized the repair.

Imagine my surprise when the car was ready in less than an hour and the invoice showed the part costing a whopping $18. I felt ripped off, but was quoted the 'standard labor charge' for this repair and did not feel like causing a scene. I figure that part of the cost went into the diagnosis, but did I get royally hosed here, or is this to be expected?
