If you're willing, you can remove the switch console from the vehicle and open the switch box. When it's on the kitchen table with clean paper or towel to create a working space, you'll need a jeweler's screwdriver or suitable alternate to depress the small clips holding the unit together. Upon opening, you'll find a dozen or so copper strips that are the electrical contacts for each window/sunroof switch. Carefull, carefull, disasssembly will ensure you can put it back together correctly. Do not vigorously shake to attempt opening, patience and steady hands ensure success.
Now, take a fine emoryboard or sandpaper a take a gentle swipe on each contact face. The contact faces can be noted by being the shiny part of the copper strip. Its been a while since doing this but I seem to remember a hmp on each contact strip end - thats the part to clean. Cleaning restores the true metal to metal contact that allows electrical juice to flow to the motors, driving them the desired direction.
I performed this operation with my 17 year old to fix the rear passenger window up control. She was not a happy camper until it was back in the car and working.
Anyway, most problems are a matter of balancing time (yours) and cost (the part).
Good Luck.
