So, I add some Bar's leak with some warm water premixed and drive me car around for a while (1995 900s na auto trans). There had been very slight seepage at the head gasket mostly on the driver side.

So my around town mpg jumps from 18.6 to 19.2

For most of you, I'm sure that is a very uneventful jump. For me and my awful mileage, every bit counts (don't bother telling me to check my tire pressure, run a tank of techron, run all supreme gas, clean my tb or aic, check vac lines... etc... all been done numerous times).

At any rate, point being, I didn't expect that. Which leads me to my question:

If I drain my coolant system and refill it with coolant and water that doesn't look like the contents of a baby's diaper, will it unseal the leak again? I don't plan on using a cleanser flush or anything but I have no idea how well lodged those chemical sealers are. Anyone have any idea? Flush out the system after a bar's application only to have the leak return?
