Current draw with ignition off

While changing the battery I have noticed a spark while connecting the terminal. It occured with courtesy light and any other load off. Worried that I may have a loss to the ground, one at the time I disconnected every single fuse. It made no difference. I then measured the current draw which came out at 1 A upon connecting and .070 A afterwards.
I came to the conclusion that the phenomenon is probably OK. The power door computer is always on stand by for the remote control to operate and that would explain the power draw.
Is my assumption correct? how long will it take to drain the battery if in addition to the remote door lock the antitheft alarm is left on?
Cheers
Giovanni
