Another option is 235/40-17. The 235/40 has the closest overall diameter to the "normal" 215/45-17 size used on the 9-3 HOT and Viggen. It's a larger tire than is normally used on a 7.5" wide wheel, but BMW used that combination OEM on the M3 a while back. If you get an 8" wide rim, then no problem.
They don't rub, but there isn't a lot of clearance either. There's a few people on the board using that size, typically on a Viggen.
The 225/45 has a taller sidewall, which will offer better ride comfort and rim protection, but it will throw your speedometer off by a couple of MPH.
