I replaced the stock battery on my 1999 in 2002.. lets see:
1999 battery installed at factory
2002 need to replace battery (sears international diehard)
2006 car won't start... (new interstate battery..looks identical to the diehard).
So your 2002 battery is up for replacement about this time. My recent
problem and when the factory one died were in warm weather. If you've
had some warmer weather recently I'd take that as a sign toward the battery. It the battery is your stock one, I think you can see the water
levels in it when removing the caps..It could totally dry in which case,
perhps, it can't hold enough charge even with a jump to start the car??
I was told by my indie it would crank if it were the DIC.
It could be something else totally though.. I actually had lights but
the car would not crank. Jump start worked...and I've been fine since
installing a new battery.
