I haven't experience with the redline oils, but this past weekend I changed over to SAAB MTF 0063 manual trans oil in my 99 9-3. It had been reported this new synth oil helps the shift feel, and it did in my trans. All shifts are much smoother, and in particular there is no longer the slight grunch feeling going into 5th or reverse. This new oil isn't compatible with the old, so the transmission must be flushed twice, with a short time of running in 1st gear each time, before the final fill. Getting the drain plug loosened was miserable, and be sure that the fill plug is still installed before you open the drain or else you might have a mess when the oil pours out all-at-once (yes, this would be from experience).
