It sure sounds like an ignition problem to me. I doubt if its plugs or wires - they don't all go bad a once or progressively fail. Water causing a problem also indicates an ignition problem.
You might be able to go to AutoZone and get them to read your fault codes, although I think we can safely bet the results would be "misfire."
Some DI cassettes were replaced at no cost to the owner. You might give the dealer a call.
