Most folks will disagree with me but I've used both and the 22mm one makes it easier for me to get the back end out of whack in the snow. I see a big difference in handling between the stock and 19mm one but the only difference I see, at least in my own car, between the 19mm and the 22mm is comfort and snow performance.
That being said, I have the 22mm bar and given that I sold the other one, I'm going to stick with it. The car is balanced enough that if I'm careful I can purposely push the back end out in the snow or mud to get tighter cornering in those situations but given the choice, I would go back to the 19mm bar.
When I put the 22mm bar in, I had Koni dampers and B&G springs all around. Now that I am back to stock springs and have the KYB dampers, the 22mm bar is definitely overkill. If I kept my stiffer suspension and possibly went to the track once in a while or drove on lots of smooth roads, the 22mm bar would be my choice. Since I drive on bumpy roads, can't drive fast or I'll get a ticket, and never go the track anymore, the 19mm bar is perfect for spirited driving for normal people. :)
