What has happended to Mobil1 5w-40?

This is what I have been using for the past 1-2 years and I now can't find it anywhere. Mobil1 has changed to add the extended p[erformance line and the only 5w mobil1 I can find is 5w-30 and it states its the supersyn formula which was not advertised on the original 5w-40 oil.

Anyone experiencing this dilemma?

What do folks think about the full synth Castrol 5w-50? Seems like a large spread but just wondering as I think about what I am going to put in the car now that I can't find mobil1 5w-40.
