The M1 "EP" 10W-30 has a more robust additive package to last 15k miles in non-turbo cars. (I'm currently just over 18,000 miles on M1 0W-40 in my 1990 n/a Saab C900.) Inherently, this makes it a better choice for our turbo cars as well. The big issue with OUR engines is oil abuse from the turbos & maintaining an adequate oil film to protect the turbos.
Any of the M1 "EP" oils should have a robust enough additive package to meet the extended drain intervals outlined in the manual or monitored by the Oil Life System. The M1 oils that meet the film strength requirement as identified by Saab (via the European ACEA A3/B3 oil classification) are 0W-40, 5W-40 & 10W-40 & 15W-50. Similarly, anything in a comparable viscosity range from Amsoil would be a good choice. The only one of these oils that also meets the fuel economy requirements desired by GM (in their GM-LL-A-025 spec?) is the 0W-40.
Personally, I would not use anything other than Mobil 1 or Amsoil, but that's just me.
