My owner's manual says to wait 30 seconds while the cleaning cycle runs. It says this is a high voltage operation, so you want to leave it alone while it's doing this. You can hear the buzzing when the plugs are all firing together. If you're doing this alone, it'll probably be done by the time you pop & raise the hood, grab a Torx driver, get your silicone dielectric grease, & get back to the engine.
Don't forget the grease! The new DI needs some on the inside of each of the four plug boots.
