I wouldn't worry about it. Sitting for a week or 2 will not hurt a thing! Even a month the only problem would be the chance of a dead battery! Rusty brakes will surface themself however after a few stops they will be fine :)
Just keep it full of gas & change the oil when it gets dirty & not by the miles.
My minivan will sit for weeks (especially since there is a birds nest in it) & I just keep the fluids full & air in the tires :)
Same with my SPG, it sits especially when it's really hot out (no AC & race seats) & I just change the fluids, keep the gas tank full & drive it.
