If you buy the wheels it would be great to here how it works out for you. I love the look of the Viggen wheel but cannot help wonder if the bending problem is due to the type of metal or the design of the wheel itself. I bet it's the latter.
Metal has trade offs when considering the alloy mix, such as softer and more maleable, or stronger and more brittle. I don't believe you can have both. If I look at my wheels, I see that the bulk of the inner rim is unsupported by the 'spider' (spokes and hub) which really only support the outer lip. All my wheels have been bent on the inside, thus I think it's the design of the wheel that is the problem as well as the real world of pot holes.
That said, if he hasn't changed the design of the wheel, chances are they'll bend like the OEM. But then at those prices and the fact that many a post has said they've never experienced problems, how can you lose!
