My 96 SE was running fine in the 90+ heat a couple of weekends ago, and I got caught up in a miles long back up on Lake Shore Drive...a lot of clutching and 5MPH stop and go. After a while it was sort of "bucking" and actually cutting out, and then I began to smell raw gasoline. When I got it home, I could find no evidence of a fuel leak, and the smell disappeared. I have since driven it for short runs around town, and it has not recurred. I have yet to take it in to my mechanic, but if anyone has had any similar experiences or might have ideas about what this might be, I would appreciate hearing from you. By the way, thanks to all for your helpful feedback about the use of 55 height tires a couple of months ago.
