Okay here I go, about 13 or 14 monthhs ago we bought a `99 9-3 5 door with just under 88,000miles. it has heated seats, sunroof,and a CD changer(non-saab. fast forward 14 months, the car is driven about 100 miles a week, but only every other week (parents divorced). we had the 90,000 service done at the dealer along with all the other maitence. the car failed to start about 2 weeks after the 90,000 service on a cold winter night (bad ignition peice), over 500$ to fix at dealer, now the parking brake does not work (hasn't since purchase, buyer unknown at time), the front left fog light has condensation, dealer wants 500 to fix, and car has rust that has gotten progressively worse since purchase (also buyer unknown). Our local friendly body shop want 1200-1500 to fix, and says we shouldn't drive it in the winter until fixed(3000 for left rear quarter if rust gets worse. Were we taken to the cleaners? I feel like my mother was ripped off by the dealer (whom she still trusts???) and I am done with SAABs. when I buy a car it will be german, because SAAB has yet to figure out how to treat customers.(last part was my ranting after a call to SAAB USA.
