Stick or auto is the answer.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Sat, 16 Sep 2006 11:27:46 In Reply to: NG900 versus C900 convertible, Mike Brown, Fri, 15 Sep 2006 07:57:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The C900 autos suck, the NG900 autos are darn decent. With a stick itsa' toss up. I could never not have the top down without installing the shells/tonneaus on our C900, a minor PITA. Our '96 900SE V6 has the electric tonneau. The C900 top never gave any problems, our NG900 top has already had multiple issues for $500-1,000. I'm lucky I know an experienced Saab tech who really understands the top.
We miss our classic 900 vert, a true classic. Don't miss the ancient car problems. The '96 really looks striking though and really impresses folks with the wood and luxury.
I've dealt successfully with the V6 issue and toe electric top issue, cuz' the price was right, but that's me.
The best one of the bunch IMHO would be an early OG9-3 vert 99 ish.
