As I recall, the T5 engine management systems don't run as well with the Irridium plugs. Do a search....Dean wrote some interesting stuff on this. I did have a lumpy idle in a 9-3 (T7 system) and I threw in a new set of NGK Irridiums. The idle smoothed out, but a short time later the DIC quit on me, so I suspect that the lumpy idle could have been the DIC on its way out. I think that the older cars like the conventional NGK plugs.
