$2,000 wouldn't be too far off as a trade in amount for one with a good top. Wholesale book is only $4,700 ish, so $2-3k is all the money for a good one. So only $1,000 ish in trade if that with a broken top, maybe only $500. So $2k for a "retail" buyer ain't all that bad, if you have a good indy you trust to fix the top. Itsa' $4000-5000 ish car fixed at retail. And a darn good year, 1996 normally aspirated, not a V6 not a turbo, lotsa' life left, if you can get the top under control. I've spent about $800 on my 96 900SE V6 vert top.
