It's been done on my car by the previous owner, so I am of little help. The "cooling system" manual does not describe hose replacement either. I think there may be a handful of posts from several years back on this though. Search my name and look for some stuff in 2003 about possible leaking head gasket or heater core. It's not specifically on this hose, but more on whether there might be a leaking heater matrix. I recall Anders saying something about being careful with the way the hose engages into the heater box in the firewall. Good luck.
