I've found that you can often break the old lines free by doing the opposite of what you really want - push them forward onto whatever they are connected to. This lets you break the accumulated seal and since you are not pulling against the barb, it break free easily. You can then pull them off.
If they don't pull right off, an x-acto knife held so that the blade cust the hose, not the connector, is the best followup. Don't push or pull too hard... connectors & what they connect to are often pricy items.
