I did the 1995.5 and later suspension upgrade at 120K with the same symptoms you have. It really made the car drive like new, and I was hesitant at the time, but have been happy with it since. And the nice driving feel convinced me to keep the car a year or two more, whereas the old "feel" would have driven me to a newer Saab. I had done Boge/Sachs struts and OEM mounts about 6 months earlier, so I did have new struts and mounts too.

The 9-3 has different front suspension than the NG900, so you may not get the same ride, even with the upgrade. My father has a 2002 9-3 and I drove it a couple years back while visiting at Xmas and thought the suspension feel was much more like my old "classic" 900 than my NG900.
