radiator+head gasket failure?

Well my 1999 Saab 9-3 just brokedown in the burger king drive thru the other day. All of the coolant was dumped out of the radiator and smoke engulfed the car from where I'm assuming that the coolant was burned off the engine. I got the car towed to my house and filled it back up with coolant and started my car and everything was fine, no smoke or anything, but I did pinpoint a leak in the radiator near the a/c condensor where I'm assuming the plastic crimped to the radiator cracked possibly, so I had it towed to a shop today so they could replace the radiator. They told me that while I was there that my head gasket may have given out as well when the radiator dumped all of the coolant, should I worry about this considering I started the car after I filled it back up with coolant and let it idle to normal operating temperature and no smoke came out of the exhaust pipe or anything. By the way my car has 137k miles on it. Thanks for reading.
