In the past week have have had the Check Engine and Check Gearbox light(s) come on. I am currently assuming possible trouble with the range switch or its mounting. When they come on, sometimes it limps and the sport mode button doesn't work. Other sport mode does, hmmm. Sometimes I'll drive it some wher and turn the car off for a moment and then start it again and they both light up. Again other time I cycle the Ignition On and Off and it clears. Could this problem be related to the ignition switch since the only difference occurs during its operation.

900set97, 182k miles, sedan, automatic.
