... (assuming you have a left-hand drive car), then it's not the water pump. It's either the upper radiator hose (either where it connects to the block or the radiator) the thermostat housing, one of the cooland hoses that goes to the heater core, or the coolant hose that comes from the expansion tank. You may have a problem with the radiator. You might want to inspect it carefully, too.
About all you can do is carefully look around in there and try to find the origin. While you're at it, it can't hurt to tighten all of the clamps in the off chance that you find one that's loose.
I think that there are some dyes that can be added to the coolant that will glow under black light. You have to carefully clean the engine bay before you use it, but, once you've done that, it should be easy to find the leak.
