confused re: camshaft position sensor or DIC Posted by todd [Email] (#958) [Profile/Gallery] (more from todd) on Sun, 18 Feb 2007 00:18:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
This is my first Saab - a 99 93 vert with 64k. I've been lurking around the board and have been learning a lot here. Thanks! Today had the check engine light come on. I went to Schucks and read codes - They say it indicates a problem with the camshaft position sensor. Does this car have a camshaft position sensor or is that function a part of the DIC? The car seems to be running fine.
I had the same code come up about two months ago, and the check engine light just went out by itself. Since the car seemed to running fine, I didn't do anything about it. Is there a danger of causing any damage? Should I park it until I can find an indy to check it out? Should I order a DIC?
Thanks in advance.
Todd
