My thought here is to isolat epossible problems with the central locking versus locally at the hatch door. I once took my lock apart at the hatch door, re-assembled it in the same fashion as I took it apart & it has been working trouble free for the past 18 months since then. That may be worth an option if the disconnected hatch release buttom makes no diefference. It takes but 20 minutes or so.
