I still don't know what caused the catastrophic failure.
I had a highway DOA on a mtn pass and our local indie (Mile High Saab) incorrectly diagnosed a faulty DIC, cleared the codes and sent me on my way. The very next time I was on that same mtn pass ( <400 miles later ), same DOA, but this time they told me zero compression. The owner of that shop called me after I argued several times with his service manager and told me they screwed up; "a miscommunication between the mechanic and the service manager" but refused to do anything about it.
My local dealer took over from there and the guess was a bad MAF, but they wouldn't know until they "got into it". Well, I never heard any more about what they think happened.
So long story short, no. I am not very confident and that is why I was nearly in a 2006 SC.
