Just out of warranty, I experienced very similar foaming. The head gasket had just been replaced days before, so I suspected a problem with coolant in the oil.
To their great credit, Saab flatbedded my car 125 miles from a remote island (including a ferry ride) to the dealer at no cost to me… and again my car was not under warranty. I won’t forget how impressive that was.
The dealer who had replaced the head gasket said the foal was related to the weather change and there was nothing broken in my car. They said the cranckcase vent system was pulling cold moist air in from around the oil cap and the moisture was condensing in the filler tube. It was a known issue and one that may have been corrected with the latest cracnkcase vent modification (#6?). I still haven’t installed that one, but it’s on the list.
I still get foam similar to what I see in your picture. I’m not saying that you don’t have coolant in your oil, but there is a less catastrophic alternative.
