Bridgestone Potenza RE750
I looked at a bunch of different tires at the beginning of last summer, and narrowed it down between the Goodyear F1's, the Michelin Pilot Sports and the Potenza's.
From talking with guys at work, they told me hands down the F1 is the best dry tire around, but the cons of this tire are price, tread ware and wet traction. They then told me the RE750 was at least 95% of the F1 in dry, and a whole new world in wet but would last almost twice as long as the F1 in tread ware.
I have been 110% happy with the tire, I have yet to hydro plain on the highway, and on my second summer they are still pretty quiet and still have quite a bit of tread life left.
If you have 17's I recommend 225/45 as a tire size vs. 215/45, less following the road curves (tramlining) and more cushion for those rims.
