With the engine off and the key out open the fuse panel at the left end of the dash. Remove fuses 25 and 32. Jump from the top of fuse 25 to the bottom of fuse 23. I prefer a fused jumper wire, but a paper clip will do. If the pump runs you will be able to hear and feel the gas flowing through the fuel lines under the hood. No need to unhook the lines and risk a thermal event.
