Mine does the same thing. I suspect an input shaft roller bearing or input shaft needle bearing, but could also be the throw out bearing. In either event, the transmission needs to come out, which can be pricy unless you DIY. It just seems to me that when the clutch is released in neutral, the throw out bearing would not be spinning, but the input shaft would be spinning.
